VODAN Africa Executive Coordinator, Prof Francisca Oladipo appointed VC Thomas Adewumi University, Nigeria
The Executive Coordinator of the Virus Outbreak Data Network Africa (VODAN-Africa), Prof Francisca Oladipo has been appointed the Vice-Chancellor, Thomas Adewumi University, Nigeria. The appointment was announced by the University Board, following a unanimous vote in her favour

In her statement, Prof. Oladipo thanked the board for giving the opportunity to provide academic leadership and promote excellence in teaching and research.

Oladipo is a Professor of Computer Science at Federal University Lokoja, Nigeria, and is currently the Director of Quality Assurance. She was the first female member of the University’s Governing Council from 2018-2020 and the first female Head of the Department of Computer Science at the University. She is a Fellow of the Pan-Africa Scientific Research Council, and the International Projects Synergy and Support Lead, for the NUFFIC Regional and Ethiopia Projects for KIU, and Dutch Partners.
Prof Oladipo brings to this position her rich experience as an innovator, researcher, and multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving.
